Objective & content

In this workshop you will follow the producers and live act Pølaroit on the path of creating a new track, of course according to our title – from the sketch to the track, from the first ideas to the result after four hours. Those who have heard the duo’s music know that they set great value on wonderfully evolving and floating melodys and interacting atmospheric beats.
The workshop aims to give participants an intensive behind-the-scenes look at Pølaroit’s work and provide them with many exciting tips and tricks to expand their own production skills and thereby find their individual workflows.

Focus & Outline:

• We’ll be working on a track from first steps to to a mastered file
• Showing our creative workflow, go-to tools and plug ins
• Using field recordings and own recordings, aswell as analog synthesizers and effects
• Mixing tips and tricks
• Pølaroit mastering: What makes a good master?
• Release outlooks: How do I find the right label? How do I get in touch with them?

Requirement for participation in the workshop:

Every participant should already be quite familiar with Ableton Live, comparable to the content of our Basic 1, 2 & 3 workshops. Besides a solid basic knowledge, the interest to intensively deal with outstanding sound design techniques is really important. About the producers:

The duo is known for their melancholic and organic downtempo sound, which lives especially from the attention to detail and of own recorded sounds. They have always proven their quality with releases on Stil vor Talent and Ki Records!
